18:45 Session 1: Liam HarrisonDon't Migrate, Automate! - "How a rebuild methodology using the Power Platform can take the risk out of a migration"

Ah migrations, the riskiest projects there are. No matter how much planning you do, you never know what horrors lurk under the bed. Data and documents tend to come across relatively easy but it's the customisations that really get you.

  • High levels of customization
  • Deployed Solutions
  • Connected Excel Solutions
  • InfoPath
  • Access Database
  • Forms
  • Workflows

When we start to see these things on the pre-migration reports, the blood runs cold. There is a different way to look at this though, there is an opportunity here and the Power Platform is the key.
In this session we will run through how:

  • Migrating from any system to Office 365 is an opportunity for Digital Transformation
  • A Power Apps centre of excellence can become an engine of change
  • Automating comms and site templating can be the cornerstone of change management
19:45 Break

20:00 Session 2: @Laura Graham-Brown PowerQuery & Power Automate
In September 2018 Microsoft introduced the Power Query Online integration for Power Automate. This opens up the possibility of transforming and shaping data within Power Automate without having to understand OData or SQL. In this session Laura will demonstrate different ways of combining data, transforming data, and then exposing the data as a csv, html table or looping through the records to automate a process based on your data within SQL Server. Finally she will look at the costs, limitations and considerations when using this new feature and the licenses that you require to use these techniques.
