For those that RSVP'd to the February Portland Power BI User Group meetup,
Please be aware that our presentation line up has changed. Paul Turley's session on data modeling was replaced by the following presentations:
KIRILL PERIAN (Pragmatic Works) - Untangling Nested Headers in Power BI Query
We have all seen those pivot tables with multiple headers that make us pause, scratch out heads and wonder how in the world are we going to consume such a monster into our data model. In a short 30-minute session we will go through a couple of use cases step by step and create a perfect (and repeatable) query to create a fact table for your Power BI data model.
ROBIN ABRAMSON (Pragmatic Works) - Dynamic Columns for Dynamic Visualizations in Power BI
Empower your users through dynamic visualizations in Power BI. In this short, 30 minute session we'll go over a technique to allow your users to choose the attribute contained in a calculated dynamic column with a slicer. Instead of creating multiple copies of a visual to allow for different views, allow your users to determine how they want to see their data with a single click.

Paul has been a long-time fixture of the Portland Power BI User Group and we look forward to hosting him for our July meetup. Thank you to Kirill and Robin for stepping up!
