    Hi All,

I'm new to this group. Really excited to join the first quarterly meeting in January. I would love to connect with someone before January to learn more about Microsoft Flow.

A little bit about me: I'm am previously a career Fire Lieutenant/Paramedic for the City of Lenexa Fire Department. I left the fire department in 2014 to work for a tech start-up called SafetyCulture. Our North American HQ is located in the Crossroads Art district. SafetyCulture develops mobile apps for safety and quality. As part of my role at SafetyCulture, I support our customers in a customer success functionality which includes the leverage of our API. We've built a connector within Microsoft Flow, but I'm trying to continue my knowledge and different ways to support our customers.

Would love to learn more ways to build expressions and advanced functionalities.

Please let me know if anyone is interested in connecting.

    Hi Joshua,

    Welcome!

Look forward to having you join us at next month's meeting.

There are lots of great resources online to learn about expressions and advanced features.

The recent MVPDays Flow Conference had 16 great sessions.

Two of which I think are directly related to your question are:

    non-connectors

Microsoft Flow Conference - Part 2

    expressions

Microsoft Flow Conference - Part 3

Thanks @Jerry Weinstock. MVPDays was a great one day conference. They were helpful, however they didn't answer the questions I had specifically.

Do you or do you know of anyone that's used the ParsoJSON functionality? I'm looking to build this into our flows, however I'm not 100% sure how to upload the schema or use the schema that's coming via the API.

    Hi Joshua,

I actually just wrote a blog about this.  You can find it here: http://prairiedeveloper.com/2018/12/parsing-json-in-microsoft-flow/

Please let me know if it doesn't answer your question.  Quick note: In the <g class="gr_ gr_98 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="98" data-gr-id="98">blog</g> I use Fiddler to build the payload for the schema.  If Fiddler isn't your thing you can actually run a test of your REST call in Flow and get the JSON payload from there for the schema.

Let me know if that helps.

Thank you @David Drever! I've added this article as a "to read/try" for next week. If I run into any issues, would it be possible to jump on a 30 minute web meeting?

@David Drever Thanks for the information. I've tried to play with this a little bit but need a little more help. Any chance we could jump on a web call to review the flow?

    Hi Joshua,

Sorry, but web calls are a bit difficult for me to schedule right now.  I am unable to do so from my current client site and my family's schedule is such that I am pretty much on the go every night right now.  Is there a way you can describe to me what you are looking for or the problem you are having?  I'd be happy to review and see if I can assist via the forum.

My apologies that I can't be of more assistance directly right now.

    David
